Congratulations to the newest Spartans! Castleton is excited to welcome the following students who have recently registered for the fall 2014 semester!

Since President Wolk arrived at Castleton in 2001, it has been his practice to select a Commuter Student of the Semester, an award that also comes with a special parking space--his--and an honor that can be added to a resume!

Castleton College congratulates the graduates from May, 2014. The following students recently graduated Castleton College during the 227th commencement on May 17.

The following students were named to the Castleton College President's List for the spring semester of the 2013-14 academic year. To qualify for this highest academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 4.0.

The following students were named to the Castleton College Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2013-14 academic year. To qualify for this academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5.

The following students were named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Winter/Spring All-Academic Team. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached junior academic standing, have competed in a minimum two years of varsity competition at their institution with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50.

The Gilman Scholarship program provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students to participate in credit bearing, career-oriented study and intern abroad programs worldwide. The program broadens the student population that studies abroad and is intended to better prepare U.S. students to assume significant roles in an increasingly global economy and interdependent world.

This award is given annually to one outstanding player on the softball team, naming the recipient the most valuable player of the season.

This award is given annually to one outstanding player on the men's lacrosse team, naming the recipient the most valuable player of the season.

This award is given annually to one outstanding player on the baseball team, naming the recipient the most valuable player of the season.

This award is given annually to one outstanding player on the women's lacrosse team, naming the recipient the most valuable player of the season.

This award is given annually to one outstanding player on the Men's Tennis, naming the recipient the most valuable player of the season.

This scholarship of $200 is provided annually to a student who will be continuing his/her education toward an ADN degree who demonstrates the following criteria set by the Nursing Alumni Association: Self-motivated learner, consistently above average theory grad, excelled in clinical performance, demonstrated a commitment to nursing, served as a role model for peers.

This award is given annually to an upper class Technical Theatre and Design major who has shown willingness to go above and beyond what is asked and expected of students both in class and performances, is dependable and responsible, and has fostered passion for theatre through other students.

This award is given annually to an upper class Acting and Directing major who has shown willingness to go above and beyond what is asked and expected of students both in class and performances, is dependable and responsible, and has fostered passion for theatre through other students.

This award is given annually to a student or students who have consistently exemplified Dr. Woodruff's qualities of leadership, creativity, resourcefulness and dedication to Castleton. This is the highest honor that a student leader can achieve at Castleton.

This award is given annually for distinguished service in activities, and exhibiting abilities and qualities of leadership, conscientiousness, dependability and interest in the college community and its function.

This award is given annually to a student or students who have made outstanding contributions to Castleton through their participation in various extracurricular activities.

This award is given annually to any member of the Spartan newspaper or WIUV radio station who has demonstrated leadership, commitment, and a strong passion for supporting their organization.
