Zach Davidson was recently named the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III North National Player of the Week.

Junior Conner Johnson was recently honored as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) as its Division III Pitcher of the Week.

As elected representative for the Castleton senior class, the delegates represent the interests of students in their respective graduating class. The Senior Class President is the official spokesperson of the senior class student body and oversees all senior class student association activities, development and fiscal planning.

The Castleton Scholars Celebration is a showcase of original student work. This year's event marks the third annual celebration and features work from 54 students, representing 15 different programs.

The VA Learning Opportunities Residency (VALOR) Program gives outstanding registered nursing students who have completed their junior year in an accredited clinical program the opportunity to develop competencies in clinical nursing while at a VA approved health care facility. The full-time, paid position will include competency-based clinical practice with a qualified RN preceptor and participation in nursing-focused clinical conferences.

Castleton Community Advisors are an integral part of the Residence Life Department who have the most direct and constant contact with students. CA's are assigned to a floor or house of 16-50 students and their primary responsibility is to act as a facilitator of community and enhance the on-campus living experience for their peers.

The National Institutes of Health, NIH, is a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services department and is the nations leading medical research agency. More than 80 percent of NIH's budget goes out to over 30,000 research personnel at over 2,500 universities and research institutions.

The National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates Program, NSF-REU, works to further promote the field of science and advance the overall well being of the nation. The program has an annual budget of $7.3 billion, while serving as a source of funding for approximately 24 percent of all federally supported basic research conducted by America's colleges and universities.

The Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program places recent college graduates and young professionals as English teaching assistants in primary and secondary schools and universities overseas. The program aims to strengthen foreign students' English language abilities and knowledge of the United States, while allowing program participants to gain from intensive cross-cultural interaction and international educational opportunities provided at the host institution. Since its inception in 1946, the Fulbright program has provided more than 300,000 participants, chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential, with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.
