BARN OPERA Presents Puccini's "Tosca" at Castleton University
Castleton, VT (09/23/2022) — BARN OPERA presents a performance of Puccini's "Tosca" at Castleton University on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. in the Casella Theater.
Set in Rome at the time of Napoleon's invasion of Italy, "Tosca" is a roller coaster story of love, lust, murder, and political intrigue. Carried on the wings of Puccini's richly romantic score, "Tosca" is one of the world's most loved operas.
A tragic story of passion and jealousy, it follows the tempestuous opera singer Floria Tosca as she fights to save her lover Cavaradossi from the sadistic police chief Scarpia.
BARN OPERA strives to make the joy and beauty of opera accessible and welcoming while operating in a rural community.
