British Ballet Girls and Nazi Raids: The Origins of the British Council and Wartime Cultural Propaganda Lecture at Castleton University

Castleton, VT (03/20/2023) — Castleton Professor Taylor Tobias will present a lecture at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, in Jeffords Center Auditorium discussing the strategic use of ballet as a tool of World War II propaganda.

This event is presented by Phi Eta Sigma, the history honors society, with the goal of investigating the weaponization of the arts as a tool for foreign policy and wartime strategy in Britain during the second World War.
