For the second consecutive week, a member of the Castleton University football team has been honored by the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference, as senior linebacker Darren Callan has been named the ECFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Binkowski had a solid season in goal for Castleton, making 24 saves in conference play and allowing less than one goal per game on average. The senior posted four shutouts overall this season, stopping shots at a .748 clip with a goals-against average of 1.63.

Wershoven Collects First Team All-Conference Honors.

Following a perfect 2-0 week in North Atlantic Conference play, three Castleton women's soccer players were honored with North Atlantic Conference weekly awards. Makenzi Bellando collected Rookie of the Week honors.

After helping her team to a draw against one of the top teams in the conference, Castleton women's soccer freshman Makenzi Bellando was named North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week.

Following a selection to the North Atlantic Conference First Team this fall, Castleton men's soccer senior Alex McCormick has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's New England Region Third Team.

Sawyer Shane was named to the NAC Sportsmanship Team, an honor reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees are individuals who have positively affected the soccer culture and environment and whose behavior clearly demonstrates sportsmanship and integrity that go beyond the playing rules and etiquette.

Freshman Jack Kingdon and sophomore Thomas Kirk highlight the winners, as Kingdon was named NAC Rookie of the Year, and Kirk was named Defensive Player of the Year. Kirk also received First Team All-Conference honors, along with Spartan midfielder Alex McCormick
