Castleton hosts 16th annual Castleton Classic Golf Tournament
Castleton, VT (06/23/2022) — Castleton University hosts the 16th annual Castleton Classic golf tournament on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Rutland Country Club.
The afternoon of golf begins with registration at noon and a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Interested individuals can put together a team of four players or sign up individually to be paired with a team. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for local businesses.
The day will end with an awards ceremony, with prizes for low gross and net winners, longest drive competition, and hole-in-one prizes, and will include a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres.
All proceeds from the event benefit Castleton's 28 varsity teams and more than 600 student-athletes. To date, the Castleton Classic has raised more than $600,000 for Castleton athletics.
"With great thanks to our loyal sponsors and participants, the Castleton Classic has reached its sixteenth year and continues to be athletic's largest fundraising event," said Carrie Savage, director of development and alumni affairs. "Join us again for a fun-filled day and tee off to support our Spartans!"
