Wershoven Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

2017 Jan 20

For the second consecutive year, Nicole Wershoven of the Castleton women's soccer team has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their excellence on the field and in the classroom. The District Teams are divided into eight geographic locations and further delineated by Division I, II & III. Wershoven is the only player from the North Atlantic Conference to make the team, while in-state rival Middlebury placed three members on the Academic All-District squad.

The senior has started in 18 of Castleton's 19 games this season, and has provided one assist from her defensive position. Wershoven is a leader on and off the field for the Spartans, and is a Biology major with a concentration in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine with a minor in Chemistry.
