Timothea Carone Named NAC First Team All-Conference

Castleton's softball team landed five players on the North Atlantic Conference First Team on Wednesday afternoon, including sophomore outfielder Timothea Carone, of Bomoseen, VT.

Carone made her first appearance on the NAC First Team this year after batting .378 with a .437 on-base percentage. Carone had 34 hits out of the leadoff spot, including 28 runs, four doubles and two triples and ranked among the top five in the conference for hits and runs against NAC opponents. The sophomore had a hit in 22 of 28 games, including an eight-game hitting streak at one point of the season.

NAC All-Conference selections are determined by a vote of the conference coaches.
