Soren Pelz-Walsh Named NAC Rookie of the Week

After helping Castleton pick up back-to-back wins over Sage and Lyndon this week, Soren Pelz-Walsh of Brattleboro, VT was named the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week.

Pelz-Walsh picked up four wins to help the program get off to its best start since 2009. The senior notched a pair of straight-sets victories in the No. 2 and 3 singles slots, while partnering with Quentin Barthe to record back-to-back victories in doubles play, including an 8-0 victory in the top-flight at Sage. So far this year, Pelz-Walsh has collected a team-leading 11 wins and holds respective record of 5-1 and 6-0 in singles and doubles.

This marks the fourth consecutive week that Pelz-Walsh has received Rookie of the Week honors.
