Soren Pelz-Walsh Named NAC Rookie of the Week

After helping the Spartans open the 2016 season with back-to-back victories, senior Soren Pelz-Walsh of Brattleboro, VT, who is in his first year of playing tennis, was named the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference.

Pelz-Walsh has recorded three wins in all competitions, with a 1-1 mark in singles play and perfect 2-0 spot in doubles. The senior teamed with Quentin Barthe in the second-flight doubles match at Norwich, picking up his first career win with a 9-7 decision. He maintained that solid form in the 7-2 victory at Green Mountain, capturing the No. 2 doubles match with a decisive 8-1 victory before claiming the third-flight singles game in straight sets (6-0, 6-1).
