Ryan Mulder Earns NEHC Goalie of the Week Honors

After helping the Spartans knock off No. 14 Norwich and St. Michael's this past weekend, Ryan Mulder of Ottawa, ON was honored by the New England Hockey Conference as its Goaltender of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Mulder continued his solid play in net this weekend with a combined 57 saves. The sophomore delivered in the 3-1, upset victory over Norwich, stopping 23 of the 24 shots that he faced with a .958 save percentage. He carried that form into Saturday's contest by producing 34 saves, including ten in the final 3:30 of play, to notch his fifth win of the year. Mulder holds a 5-8 record on the season with a .911 save percentage and has allowed more than two goals just once in his last seven starts.

Castleton currently stands at 6-14-1, including a 5-8-1 spot in the conference, after notching five wins in its last seven contests. The squad returns to action this weekend against the Skidmore Thoroughbreds in a home-and-home series. The Spartans will play at Skidmore on Friday at 7 pm before hosting the Thoroughbreds the following day for a 7 pm start at Spartan Arena.
