Rachel Bombardier Named NAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

After helping the Spartans capture their 15th consecutive win and fourth straight North Atlantic Conference Championship this past week, junior Rachel Bombardier of Pittsford, VT was named the NAC Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Bombardier came up big for the Spartans on Saturday to help the squad secure an automatic NCAA Tournament berth with a 16-3 victory over Thomas. In that contest, the junior played all sixty minutes in the cage, producing a 72.7 save percentage with eight saves and just three goals allowed. She now holds a perfect 6-0 mark on the season with a 61.0 save percentage and 5.57 GAA in eight appearances.
