Quentin Barthe Named NAC Player of the Week

2016 Apr 26

After helping the Spartans reach the double-digit win plateau this past week for the first time since 2013, junior Quentin Barthe of Tabanac, FO was named the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference.

Barthe collected three wins to help the squad close out the regular season with a 10-3 record. The junior picked up Castleton's lone point in its loss at Colby-Sawyer, taking the third-flight singles match in three sets (0-6, 7-6, 10-5). He won his fifth-straight singles match the following day against MCLA with a straight-sets victory (6-0, 6-1) in the No. 3 spot before teaming with Soren Pelz-Walsh to capture the second-flight doubles match, 8-0. So far this season, Barthe has notched a team-leading 22 wins in all competitions, with respective marks of 10-2 and 12-1 in singles and doubles play.

This marks the second time this season that a Spartan has been named the NAC Player of the Week and the first time in Barthe's career.
