Quentin Barthe Lands NAC East All-Conference Honors

Quentin Barthe of Tabanac FO has landed a spot on NAC All-Conference Honors.

After locking up the No. 3 seed in the North Atlantic Conference East Division Championship this coming weekend, three members of the Castleton men's tennis team were named to NAC East All-Conference Teams on Thursday morning.

Seth Marcil was the top honoree, landing First Team recognition in singles play, while earning a Second Team spot for his doubles performance with partner Quentin Barthe. Marcil was also named to the NAC East Sportsmanship Team. Marcil was 4-2 this season in NAC East action at No. 1 singles, while he and Barthe combined to go 4-2 in top doubles action.

Barthe, in addition to his Second Team honor with Marcil, was also named Second Team All-Conference for singles. The senior was an impressive 5-1 in the NAC East regular season at the No. 2 singles position, falling only to Colby-Sawyer in the final match of the regular season. Ryan Mulder rounded out the Spartans' honorees with Second Team All-Conference recognition for singles. Mulder played his way to a 4-1 record in singles action, playing primarily at the No. 3 position for the Spartans.

Colby-Sawyer's Gustav Jigrup was named the NAC East Player of the Year, while Thomas's Ryan Chasse was voted as the league's Rookie of the Year. MCLA had the Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year in Jeffrey Mason, as well as the Coach of the Year in Trevor Grimshaw
