Sophomore Deagan Poland has been named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Region, and Northern Atlantic Conference (NAC) as Player of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office.

Poland had a stellar week for Castleton, leading the offense with a .565 batting average (13-for-23), including a .667 (4-for-6) clip in conference action to help lead the Spartans to a doubleheader sweep of New England College. The sophomore outfielder enjoyed four multi-hit games out of the leadoff spot and drove in two runs as part of back-to-back 4-for-4 performances at the plate against New England College and Anna Maria. Poland swiped 10 bags on the week and leads the conference with 15 stolen bases on the season. Leading the squad in batting average (.451) and on-base percentage (.509), the Williston native has reached base in every game this season with a hit in 12 of the team's 13 contests.
