Mulder Named NEHC Goaltender of the Week

After posting two of his best starts of the season against stiff competition over the weekend, Castleton men's hockey goalie Ryan Mulder has been named the New England Hockey Conference Goaltender of the Week.

Mulder played arguably his best two games of the season as Castleton extended its unbeaten streak to six games over the weekend. In a Friday night tie against Babson, Mulder allowed just two goals while making a then-season-high 30 saves. The junior followed that performance up with an even better one on Saturday, keeping a potent UMass-Boston offense scoreless through two periods in an eventual 2-2 draw. He stopped a season-high 32 shots in the game, keeping the Beacons two goals below their season average of 4.26 goals per game.
