Meeghan Doris Named ECAC Defensive Player of the Week

Following a week in which she stopped an average of 25 shots per game, Meeghan Doris of New Milford, CT has been named ECAC Division III New England Defensive Player of the Week.

Doris had an impressive showing in a very tough week for the Spartans, as she made a total of 50 saves in just two games. Against Skidmore, the No. 3 team in the very competitive North Atlantic region, the junior tallied a career-high 31 stops in the defeat, recording a save percentage of .795 in the game. Against UMaine-Farmington, the keeper made 19 saves in a tough 6-0 conference loss.

This is the second time this season that Doris has received the award for the Spartans.
