Mallory Costello Named NAC Player of the Week

After leading the Spartans to a perfect 3-0 week against conference opponents, Mallory Costello of Sussex, NJ was honored as the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week.

Costello collected 11 points in Castleton's 3-0 week, and had a hand in all ten of Castleton's goals. The senior opened the week by assisting on both goals in Castleton's 2-0 victory over Colby-Sawyer, ending the Chargers' eight-game win streak. The forward followed that up by tallying a season-high six points from two goals and two assists, as the Spartans earned a 4-1 win over Husson to secure the top spot in the NAC. Costello ended the week with one goal and one assist in helping Castleton hand Maine Maritime a 2-0 loss and finish the conference season unbeaten.

With her five assists last week, Costello also moved into second all-time in Castleton history with 36 assists. Her 174 career points are good for third all-time and just one behind tying Amy Yandow for second.
