Kayla Wood Earns NAC All-Conference First Team Honors

Sophomore Kayla Wood of E Dummerston, VT was was one of five Castleton softball players to receive North Atlantic Conference All-Conference honors, as announced on Tuesday.

The sophomore was selected to the NAC All-Conference First Team along with teammates Jessica Babcock and Brittany Brayman while Katie Gagne and Kayla Daigle were named to the Second Team.

Wood was dominant for the Spartans, leading the conference in ERA (0.63), wins (8), strikeouts (67) and strikeouts per seven innings (8.5). She was the only pitcher to beat every NAC opponent over the course of the season.
