Karsen Woods Awarded Castleton University Institutional Research Grant

Castleton student Karsen Woods of Castleton, VT was recently awarded an institutional research grant for the 2015-2016 academic year. Nine different faculty-student groups earned a grant for the spring semester.

Awarded by Academic Dean Tony Peffer and reviewed by Dr. Ingrid Johnston-Robledo, Dean of Arts, Sciences, and Community Engagement, and a faculty committee, the grants range from $500-$2,000 each.

Several disciplines are represented by the various projects, which utilize many different methods for answering research questions and generating knowledge. In addition to presenting their work at the Castleton Scholarship Celebration in May, many groups will present their work at national conferences this spring and summer.
