Jessica Cameron Named NEHW New England All-Star

Castleton women's hockey player Jessica Cameron, of Castleton, VT, was honored as 2015-16 New England Division II/III Women's Hockey All-Stars on Friday morning by the New England Hockey Writers' Association.

Coaches and media outlets throughout New England voted on the All-Star teams following the completion of the 2015-16 season. All recipients will be honored at a banquet on April 13 in Saugus, Mass.

Cameron, a CCM Second Team All-American, posted one of the best seasons for any goaltender in Castleton history, as she set school records in wins (15), save percentage (.947) and winning percentage (.640). The senior also cemented herself as the all-time leader in career save percentage (.936) and career winning percentage (.544). Cameron finished the season fifth in the nation in save percentage while facing the second-most shots among all Division III goaltenders. She was named the NEHC Goaltender of the Year and NEHC First Team All-Conference for her performance, along with being named to the D3hockey.com Team of the Week on two separate occasions. Cameron also recently received All-Academic recognition from the NEHC.
