Jessica Binkowski Named NAC Defensive Player of the Week

After leading the Spartans to a perfect 3-0 week against conference opponents, Jessica Binkowski of Goshen, CT was honored as the North Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Binkowski started all three conference games last week and helped Castleton claim the top-seed in the upcoming NAC Tournament by recording 19 saves, two shutouts, a 0.33 GAA and .950 save percentage. The junior produced a four-save shutout in Castleton's 2-0 victory over Colby-Sawyer, which snapped the Chargers' eight-game win streak. She then tallied six saves in the squad's 4-1 win over Husson. Binkowski capped off the week by recording a nine-save shutout to lead the Spartans to a 2-0 victory over Maine Maritime.
