Jessica Binkowski Named NAC Defensive Player of the Week

Following a pair of shutout victories in conference play last week, junior Jessica Binkowski of Goshen, CT was named the North Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Binkowski started twice in net, helping the squad maintain its perfect 4-0 mark in the NAC. She opened the week with a seven-save shutout in Castleton's 2-0 victory over the Pilgrims before producing her second clean sheet of the week as the Spartans beat the Eagles 4-0. On the season, Binkowski holds a 6-5 record with a 1.56 GAA, .754 save percentage and three shutouts.

This marks the third time this season that Binkowski has been honored by the NAC and the second time for Costello.

Castleton stands at 8-6 on the season, including a perfect 6-0 mark in the NAC, following back-to-back victories over Maine-Farmington and Thomas.
