Jessica Binkowski Named NAC Defensive Player of the Week

After producing 14 saves and helping the Spartans come within one goal of upsetting second-ranked Williams College, junior goalkeeper Jessica Binkowski of Goshen, CT was named the North Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Binkowski was solid between the pipes this week, producing 14 saves as the Spartans fell to a pair of stiff opponents - Westfield St. and No. 2 Williams College. After recording two saves in the loss to the Owls, the junior shot-stopper was in fine form against the Ephs, tallying 12 saves and holding the second-ranked team in the nation scoreless for more than 66 minutes of play following their opening goal. On the season, Binkowski has produced a 2.75 GAA to go along with 29 saves in 458 minutes of action.
