Jessica Binkowski Named NAC Defensive Player of the Week

Following 148:59 of scoreless play in net this past week, junior Jessica Binkowski of Goshen, CT was honored by the North Atlantic Conference as its Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference.

Binkowski helped maintain a pair of clean sheets in net this week to help the Spartans capture back-to-back wins. On Tuesday at MCLA, the junior was in fine form, stopping three saves in 90 minutes of play, as the squad claimed a 1-0 victory. She followed that up by playing 58 minutes without coneding a goal in Castleton's 8-0 victory at Lyndon St. On the season, Binkowski holds a 3-4 record with a 2.07 GAA, .708 save percentage, 34 saves and one shutout.

This marks the second time this season that Binkowski has been honored by the NAC for her solid performance.

The Spartans are in action twice this week, playing at RPI on Thursday at 7:30 pm before hosting Johnson St. in conference play on Saturday at 7:00 pm.
