Hale lands Second Team All-NEWA Honors

The New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) released its postseason honors Monday, and the Castleton University wrestling team, in just its first year as a varsity program, was well represented in both the athletic and academic awards.

Senior Zak Hale received Second Team All-NEWA honors after posting a 36-6 overall record in the 141-pound weight class. Hale finished second at the NCAA Northeast Regional to become the first Castleton wrestler to qualify for the NCAA Championships, and then he picked up the Spartans' first victory at the national championships.
