Emma Blaiklock Named MVP of Softball

Castleton student-athlete Emma Blaiklock was recently named the Most Valuable Player of the softball team.

For softball it was all about playing as a team this year and coach Chapdelaine said there was no better example of that than Emma Blaiklock. The freshman did tireless work to improve herself and help the team in any way. He said she's always maintaining a positive attitude as the team's third string catcher and embodies what he feels the team is about this year.

All five spring programs (baseball, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, and men's tennis) appeared in the conference championship, with two of those teams taking home North Atlantic Conference Titles. Softball also earned the program's first bid to the ECAC Tournament and baseball received votes in the d3baseball.com poll for the first time in program history.
