DiPhilippo Garners Defensive Player of the Week Honors

Following a perfect 2-0 week in North Atlantic Conference play, three Castleton women's soccer players were honored with North Atlantic Conference weekly awards. Bri DiPhilippo garnered Defensive Player of the Week honors. DiPhilippo played a big role for the Castleton defense this past week, as the Spartans went 2-0 with a pair of shutouts in conference play. The senior helped lead a defense that allowed just 11 shot attempts against in two games; of those 11 attempts allowed, just four were on goal. DiPhilippo also played a role on the offensive side of the ball, as she scored a goal in a 5-0 win over UMF on Saturday. Coming into the contest, UMF was unbeaten in NAC play and was scoring nearly six goals per game in conference action. A stingy Castleton defense held the Beavers to just two shots on goal.
