Devin Hayes Named NAC Pitcher of the Week

After helping the Spartans improve to 31-10 this week and capture the squad's second consecutive North Atlantic Conference Championship, sophomore Devin Hayes of Vergennes, VT was honored as the NAC Pitcher of the Week, as announced on Monday.

Hayes started Castleton's opening game in the tournament, leading the Spartans to a 4-1 victory over the Beavers. In that contest, the sophomore tossed seven innings of scoreless baseball with just five hits allowed and ten strikeouts. On the season, Hayes holds a perfect 4-0 mark with a 3.51 ERA and a conference-best 58 strikeouts in 48.2 innings pitched.
