DeBaise Honored as NAC Field Athlete of the Week

After helping the Castleton women's track and field team to a third place finish in the North Atlantic Conference Championship on Sunday, Brielle DeBaise has been named NAC Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

DeBaise captured top-10 finishes in four different events at the NAC Championship, including the top spot in the discus with a throw of 34.03 meters. She qualified for New England Division III and ECAC Championships in the hammer throw, setting a new program record with a heave of 42.60 meters to place second overall. DeBaise took fifth in the javelin with a throw of 26.82 meters, and rounded out her events with a seventh-place throw of 9.98 meters in the shot put.
