Crompton Takes NAC Rookie of the Week Honors

Freshman Kaylyn Crompton was named the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week and Runner of the Week after finishing in first place out of 47 runners from seven different colleges and universities with a time of 20:15 in the Castleton Invitational 5K race. This is the second consecutive week in which Crompton has garnered NAC recognition, taking Rookie of the Week for her first place finish in the Mountaineer Invitational. This week in the Castleton Invitational, Crompton crossed the finish line 12 seconds before second-place runner and defending Castleton Invitational winner from last season from SUNY Canton. Crompton's first place finish was her second straight win in as many races of her career and helped lead the Spartans to second place finish overall on the day.
