Crompton Named ECAC & NAC Rookie of the Week

The awards for Kaylyn Crompton keep coming, as one day after being named North Atlantic Conference Rookie and Runner of the Year, the freshman has been recognized as ECAC Division III New England Rookie of the Week. Crompton took first place in the NAC Championship, pacing the field of 86 runners to the finish line with a 21:02 mark in the five-kilometer race at Johnson State College. It was Crompton's third time taking first place this season. The Barre native led Castleton to a second place team finish in the conference championship, which was its highest finish in the race since the 2009 season. This is the fourth time Crompton has been named ECAC Rookie of the Week as she has collected five top five finishes in just six weeks of action this season.
