Catherine Wielgasz Awarded National Science Foundation Program Internship

Castleton student Catherine Wielgasz was recently accepted into a prestigious summer research internship at the University of Montana where she will be performing chemistry research as a part of the National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates (NSF-REU) Program.

The NSF-REU works to further promote the field of science and advance the overall well being of the nation. The program has an annual budget of $7.3 billion, while serving as a source of funding for approximately 24 percent of all federally supported basic research conducted by America's colleges and universities.
