Bellando Earns Rookie of the Week Honors

Following a perfect 2-0 week in North Atlantic Conference play, three Castleton women's soccer players were honored with North Atlantic Conference weekly awards. Makenzi Bellando collected Rookie of the Week honors. Bellando had a stellar week for the Spartans, scoring multiple goals in each contest for a total of five on the week. In the team's 5-0 victory over UMF, Bellando scored one goal in each half of action. Against aThomas team that was coming off of a shutout at Green Mountain, Bellando had her first career hat trick, scoring the first three goals of the game. Her performance this week gives her seven goals on the season, good for first on her team and tied for the fourth-highest total in the NAC.
